Birdworld is a large open aviary in Kuranda Village. The birds are mostly from the greater Queensland region, but they also have a couple of Macaws from South America. Almost all of the birds fly freely in the large netted tent-like enclosure, only a few of them are in smaller enclosures. The ones in the enclosures are there primarily for their own protection; they include the little finches that would have a problem with some of the larger birds and the cassowary as he can be vicious. In a separate blog I wrote about Kurnada, but I wanted to make one just one Birdworld that showed some of the inhabitants of the site. I found the lorikeets and parrots to be the funniest with their perpetual antics. You decide which you like best.
